Roger Balser joins executive board for Market and Customer Management at PLAYMOBIL / Lars Wagner takes on executive responsibilities for Brand and Product Management at PLAYMOBIL
Zirndorf, January 2018. The Brandstätter group is making some staffing changes. From January, the Sales and Marketing and Development divisions will be restructured and given a strategic new focus. As part of these changes, Silke Heinrich will be leaving the executive board of the Brandstätter group.
Roger Balser (54) will take over as head of the PLAYMOBIL Market and Customer Management from January. The experienced manager has worked for Hasbro in the past, among others and has wide-ranging experience in the development and implementation of consumer-oriented sales strategies and the development of international sales structures.
The group is appointing a renowned expert in digital brand and product management, with long-standing experience of international companies, to its Brand and Product Management division in the form of Lars Wagner. The 46 year old is moving from The Walt Disney Company Germany where he was responsible for the marketing, digital innovation division and development of Disney channels, among other things. He has also worked at the Universal Studios Networks Germany (Creative Director) and ProSieben Media AG.
By making these personnel changes, geobra Brandstätter is taking some important steps towards its future growth. “Digitisation provides us with a wide range of opportunities. We have defined some clear areas of activity for our business models, sales structures and brand management from 2018. This requires external expertise and new competences,” explains Chairman of the Board, Steffen Höpfner.
The group has been undergoing a challenging internal transformation process, questioning its own structures and processes and preparing for the digital future since 2017. “Now it’s all about implementing new ideas and approaches promptly, consistently and courageously. The continued development of our sales work and flexible new marketing approaches are therefore a key aspect,” says Höpfner.
The group will be providing information about its latest financial developments, new products and future focus at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair.
